Apex Outfitter and Board Co. was est. in 2012 and has evolved into an Outdoor/ Action Sports Retailer. Apex Outfitter and Board Co. is owned and operated by local North Carolinians, Kyle and Megan Denis.
“We wanted to fuse our passion for the outdoors with our love of action sports. Our shop is packed with high quality apparel and accessories from brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Fjall Raven, Prana, Vans, Birkenstock and much more to outfit your adventurous side. If you need footwear, camping gear, longboards, skate boards, stand up paddle boards (seasonal), jackets, backpacks, camping gear or some last minute gifts, we've got you covered. Our goal is to familiarize the community with the adventures awaiting them by being an accessible resource for information and products that will keep them having fun outdoors. We are committed to bringing our consumers new choices, from the practical to the innovative. We strive to serve the community through events that encourage respect for the environment, and improve quality of life.
The Flagship shop is located in the Tobacco Mule & Exchange Building in historic downtown Apex, NC. Constructed in 1917, the building was originally used as a tobacco storage warehouse upstairs and a mule stable downstairs.
Our second store in Downtown Raleigh this Fall 2018 on the corner of Hargett and Salisbury st. Also in a historic space, it has floor to ceiling windows and tons of reclaimed wood fixtures.
